This is my first "real" camera for shooting video, so a lot of the lingo was new to me, but still I didn't feel overwhelmed because Caleb has a fantastic way of explaining the features and concepts. This is a fantastic guide for this camera - especially the lesson on getting the correct exposure (that one I'll have to watch repeatedly - so much good information is packed in it)! Excellent, in-depth guide and a great time-saver for learning the Pocket 4K! Even if you are still waiting for your camera to arrive, this guide will enable you to hit the ground running when you actually do receive your camera. I’m sure I will refer to this guide many times as I learn more about this awesome camera!

I spent $79 on this fantastic course. This was a negative expenditure. By that, I mean that I got much more value than the money spent. 1. Looking at it one way, this course netted me $1,216. If I had thrown the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K against the wall and broken it into little pieces, It would have cost me $1,295 in wasted money. This course kept me from doing that, so I still have the camera. 2. Looking at it another way, if I had spent a frustrating 100 hours trying to figure out how to use this camera effectively by reading the manual, I would have lost 100 hours x $100/hour = $10,000 worth of time. Subtracting the $79 for the course nets out to $9,921. Any way you look at it, the course was money well spent. Caleb Pike is an excellent teacher, explaining things in such a way that complex and confusing concepts become crystal clear. The learning experience is pleasant instead of painful. Thank you for taking the time to create this course and make it available.

Once you've made the investment in a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K this is the first "accessory" you need to buy. Not only does Caleb walk you through the process of setting up this camera, he also guides you through what you need to buy to make this camera function to it's full potential. Much like his YouTube videos, this course is packed with useful information that is delivered in a straight-forward, easy to follow way. In each section Caleb gets immediately to the subject at hand. He doesn't waste a minute of your time in the whole five hour course. This is the best $80 you'll ever spend.
